Analysis of the performance of the B walking-beam pumping units

The walking beam of the walking beam pumping unit (PU) is designed to be a bending tail walking beam where some quantities of counterbalance weights are equipped. The position of the tail bearing support is also changed. The absolute value of the net torque peak and foot is reduced effectively because of the comprehensive balance that is composed of the walking beam counterbalance weights and crank counterbalance weights. Thus the fluctuation of the output torque of PU is reduced, and so is the force applied to the main components of PU. As a result,the newly designed PU is energy saving and reliable.
