CAGE MOTOR FAULTS DETECTION ALGORITHM USING SPEED ESTIMATION AND CURRENT ANALYSIS

SUMMARY A proposed algorithm for the detection and localization of rotor faults in a squirrel cage induction machine is presented in this paper. This algorithm uses the behavior of the current spectral analysis and the estimation of the rotor speed to detect bars faults in three phase induction machine. In order to simulate the faulty motor behavior, a mathematical model is being adopted and simulation results obtained verifies well the performance of the proposed algorithm.
