An Expert System for Process Planning in a Seamless Steel Tube Plant

Process Planning can be defined as the act of preparing a detailed plan of actions to transform the raw material into finished parts. The task of the Process Planner requires experience, judgment and expertise in the field of work. Computer Expert Systems are best suited for such problems which have human expertise as an important constituent factor.
