Analysis on Load Distribution Between Electric Motors of Belt Conveyor with Double Driving Rollers

By means of the theory about electric motor and belt conveyor,the tractive force and load distribution of belt conveyor with double driving rollers were researched,the power analytical expressions of two motors was obtained. Based on the expressions,the field application example was simulated. The results showed that due to the belt elasticity,the load of the rear driving unit was larger than that of the front one; the load distribution unbalance owing to the belt elasticity could be removed if the diameter of the front roller was larger than that of the rear one. If the three- phase AC asynchronous motor with higher slip ratio was applied,it is more favorable to load distribution. The load unbalance between two driving units could be eliminated by means of little variable speed clutch,the variable speed clutch slippage and the slip loss were very small.
