COMPUTER SIMULATION OF A CAPACITOR IMPULSE DISCHARGING CIRCUIT

The design of capacitor impulse discharging circuits, one of the high density energy generation system, normally requires gross approximations of the nonlinear switches being used. The construction and testing of these circuits can be very costly and dangerous. An alternative approach is to use the computer to model and simulate the action of the circuit. This paper describes the development of a computer model for a capacitor impulse discharging circuit using SPICE. Also, as the application example, a flux distribution exasnpl in a magnet of the impulsemagnelizer is proposed.
