[Osteosynthesis with bracket-plate in the treatment of fractures of the lower end of radius with posterior displacement in adults].

: For the last 3 years all fractures of the lower end of the radius with posterior displacement in adults have been treated routinely by osteosynthesis with a bracket-plate. Long-term results have been sufficiently good for this type of treatment to be proposed as standard for these fractures, particularly as it is simple to perform and rapidly completed, with reduced risks in elderly patients. The frequency and severity of sequelae of a disabling nature encountered up to the present have demonstrated the lack of a satisfactory solution for therapy of these fractures. Results were good or very good in 69 p. 100 and fairly good in 31 p. 100 of 35 cases treated in this way, and there were no poor results.
