Das Kompositions‐Prinzip: Eine anschauliche Methode zur elektronen‐theoretischen Behandlung nicht oder niedrig symmetrischer Molekeln im Rahmen der MO‐Theorie

Es wird ein einfaches, im Rahmen der ublichen LCAO-Naherung der MO-Theorie anzuwendendes Kompositions-Prinzip beschrieben. Dieses erlaubt, ausgehend von einem Satz vorgegebener Polynome, die Sakulargleichung fur ein gegebenes π-Elektronensystem unter Umgehung der Sakular-Determinante schnell und ubersichtlich abzuleiten, sowie wichtige Kenngrossen (wie z. B. die Elektronendichte qr oder die Bindungsordnung prs) einfach zu berechnen. Die zum Teil bereits in der Literatur beschriebenen Formeln sind in der vorliegenden Arbeit systematisch zusammengestellt und an Beispielen illustriert worden. Es wurden Tabellen der gebrauchlichsten Polynome aufgestellt, wodurch das Arbeiten mit der LCAO-Methode in ihrer vorliegenden Abwandlung wesentlich erleichtert wird.
