The current service policy in IP networks is the best-effort(BE) service policy, which do not provide satisfactory QoS level for users in IP networks. Therefore, more reliable environment is of our concern for various traffic services. Reliable environment means stable performance as well as an efficient bandwidth allocation with limited network sources. Because of these requirements, guaranteed performance(GP) service policy insuring constant QoS is required. Although a number of the studies on bandwidth allocation under GP service policy are available, few studies on different bandwidth allocation with different characteristics required by each service have been made. In this study, an efficient bandwidth allocation for combined one BE and two GP sessions is proposed, which is called separated-service model. Our proposed model is compared with the existing mixed-service(one BE and one GP service ses sions) model from the standpoint of QoS. As a result, QoS of our proposed model is shown to be superior to that of the existing model.
