Study on Interactions between Hainan Power Grid and China Southern Power Grid and Seperation Measures after Interconnection under Severe Faults

The interaction of Hainan Power Grid(HPG) and China Southern Power Grid(CSG) under severe faults after their interconnection is analyzed,and it is concluded that the severe faults occurred in CSG may cause frequency raise or depression of HPG,and even out-of-step while the severe faults in HPG has less influence on CSG,generally not enough to cause out-of-step of CSG.It is proposed to install seperation devices at Gangcheng and Fushan sides with the functions of high or low frequency or out-of-step tripping.
