Decentralized H/sub 2//H/sub infinity / controller design: the discrete-time case

Consideration is given to the mixed-norm H/sub 2//H/sub infinity / discrete-time problem. Specifically, an H/sub 2/ discrete-time control design problem involving a constraint on H/sub infinity / disturbance attenuation is addressed. The principal result involves sufficient conditions for characterizing decentralized discrete-time static output feedback controllers that satisfy bounds on both H/sub 2/ and H/sub infinity / performance costs. These results are in the vein of the recent Riccati equation approach to continuous-time H/sub 2//H/sub infinity / theory.<<ETX>>
