Model reduction using the Routh stability criterion and the Padé approximation technique

A new method of reduction is introduced, based on the Routh stability criterion and the Pade approximation technique. The method may be applied to the reduction of single-input/single-output and multivariable systems. The reduced-order models will always be stable if the high-order system is stable.
