8×224 Gbit/s PDM 16QAM WDM transmission with real-time signal processing at the transmitter

28 Gbaud Square 16QAM transmission is experimentally demonstrated, for the first time using a transmitter with real-time signal processing. Eight WDM channels were transmitted over a distance of 480 km with BER < 2⋅10⁻³.
