Dangers of Imbalance: Great Britain is working to remedy a defect the U.S. should avoid

Sir Charles Snow stirred world-wide discussion with "The Two Cultures and the Scientific Revolution." His background and accomplishments as a scientist, novelist, and government official make him a significant commentator on the influence of science on our society. Now The Lord Snow, he is Joint Parliamentary Secretary in the British government's Ministry of Technology. He has lived through his country's decline from world leadership in politics, finance, and commerce.
