This study aimed to investigate the characteristics of ultrafine particles (UFPs) through air handling units (AHUs) with air filters by measuring their size number concentrations in a various sampling points in a building. Furthermore, the UFP collection efficiencies of the unused air filters for the AHU were measured. In the actual building, depending on the outside air concentration, the diffuser and the indoor concentrations changed in the same way. The collection efficiency at 100 nm or less tended to increase and the efficiency of the coarse dust filter was lower than that of the unused one.
