Sensitivity enhancement of electrooptic probing based on photonic downconversion by sideband management

An electrooptic (EO) probing system based on photonic downconversion for multi-GHz signal measurement was successfully demonstrated. Sensitivity enhancement by controlling the ratio of carrier light to sidebands was investigated.
