Abbildung auf bestehende und neue Plattformen

Bestehende, zu erweiternde und neue Werkzeuge der Gesamtumgebung fur verfahrenstechnische Entwicklungsprozesse mussen auf einer geeigneten Plattform realisiert werden. Erschwernisse sind dabei, das sich Entwicklungsprozesse uber lange Zeitraume erstrek- ken, Entwickler an verschiedenen Standorten beteiligt sind und die Werkzeuge auf unterschiedlicher und heterogener Hard-/Software laufen. Bestehende Verteilungsplattformen (wie z.B. CORBA) bieten Ansatze zur Abstraktion, losen aber nicht alle von den Werkzeugprojekten des letzten Kapitels gestellten Anforderungen bezuglich Verteilungstransparenz von Datenablabe-/Anfrage-, Rechen- und Kommunikationsdiensten. Er werden deshalb oberhalb von CORBA uber diese Verteilungsplattform hinausgehende Funktionalitaten realisiert.
