Key Technology of Radar Video Image Compression in Airspace

In order to resolve the contradiction among video image quality,the compression ratio,and network transmission,in terms of the statistic characteristics of radar video data and the scheme of partitioned compression,radar video image was compressed by using the dynamic video sequence.Test results show that the PSNR can be steadily over 30 dB when the rate of inter-frame compression reaches 140,which outperforms that of the single frame compression.Meantime,the algorithm can suppress the clutters to a certain extent.The speed of compression,transmission and display update has been greatly improved.It can be applied in project.
