An intelligent multimedia training system for hydro-power plant operators

This paper describes an intelligent multimedia training system for hydropower plant operators taking account of their diversity in aspects of entrance levels and exit targets, etc. Functions and the general scheme of this system are presented on basis of the principle of an intelligent tutoring system (ITS). Emphasis is focused on multimedia knowledge representation, student models and tutorial models intended to implement individualized teaching to the operators mentioned above.
