The Richness of Modeling and Simulation and Its Body of Knowledge

The increasing importance of modeling and simulation (M&S) is emphasized. Richness and stakeholders of M&S are documented. Three aspects of professionalism of M&S are clarified. Based o this clarification, work being done by the author on M&S body of knowledge is outlined. Several other BoK and M&S BoK studies are referred to. The conclusions section terminates with the fact that wide-spread application and ever increasing importance of modelling and simulation necessitate the preservation of the integrityof the
