With more and more electronic equipment and devices installed inside a vehicle, the on-board vehicle platform has become one of the systems can easily affected by lightning. When the lightning directly strike to the vehicle platform or strike near to the vehicle platform, the vehicle platform will definitely generate induced lightning effects through conduction, induction and coupling effect in the vehicle's electronic system, and generate overvoltage to damage the electronic devices inside the vehicle platform. Based on the situation, this paper analyses the influence of induced lightning overvoltage on the internal electronic equipment and devices of vehicle platforms, and discusses its protection methods, in wish of providing some ideas for the induction lightning protection of vehicle platform.
