An Eco-innovation Method by Combining TRIZ with iNPD Process

This paper presents an eco-innovation method for new eco-product development. It is based on iNPD (integrated new product development). process to search the new product ideas with potential value in the market conditions and then combined with the TRIZ method to create new ideas for product eco-innovation. This new method improves value opportunity charts to complement the defects of the environmental impact of the original charts. It also integrated iNPD and TRIZ by the corresponding table of the new value opportunity chart and engineering features. It hopes that when design engineers start to develop a new product, they can consider every kind of the needs to increase products values. Examples are demonstrated to illustrate the capability of proposed methodology.
