Opinion Propagation in Online Social Networks: A Survey

In recent years, opinion propagation in online social networks has become a widespread phenomenon. There are several applications of this phenomenon such as viral marketing and election campaigns, and thus the detection of opinion propagation is a topical issue. Some models have been proposed in order to explain this phenomenon. In this paper, we present a comprehensive study of the existing models for opinion propagation, highlighting a line of evolution of the research in this area. At the same time, this survey constitutes an overview of the possible improvements to be brought forward.
