A Simulation Study of DQDB Metropolitan Area Network

In this paper we focus on a simulation analysis of the performance of the DQDB access protocol with both multiple priority levels and Bandwidth Balancing Mechanism (BBM) activated. The analysis presented is oriented towards the evolution of the effect the BBM has on access delay and bandwidth sharing assuming different types of workload.
