SDN-Enabled Cross-Layer Flexibility in 5G Fronthaul Networks

We propose a software-defined resource allocation framework for mobile fronthaul (MFH) applications, combining secure and scalable modulation order and code rate adaptation and dynamic processing resource sharing. Successful transmission within a 34 km cover range is experimentally demonstrated.
