Ferroelectric Polymer Array Sensors For Ultrasonic Imaging in Air

In this work we studied ferroelectric polymer films because they are suitable transducer materials for making air-borne ultrasonic transducers. They have several advantages as regards to other conventional piezoelectric materials, such as lightness, low cost and small dimensions when employed in robotic grasp-effectors for short range vision systems.
