Research on a rule-based query language for XML

XML is emerging as the dominant standard for data representation and exchange over the Web.The research of XML query language is one of the top questions in the current computer field.This paper is to give a comprehensive survey for XML query language,greatly analyse a rule-based XML query language-XML-RL,and extend XML-RL with inheritance.
