Field trial results of DVB-T2 mobile reception

This paper provides the results of the field trials for DVB-T2 mobile reception, carried out in the city of Bilbao (Spain). During these field trials a DVB-T2 emission was broadcasted and the received signal was recorded using a mobile unit along the city of Bilbao. Real urban mobile reception conditions were tested this way. Several DVB-T2 signal configurations were measured in order to check the influence of the most relevant parameters in the quality of the received signal. To analyze the recorded signal a DVB-T2 software receiver is used. This processing methodology (signal recording plus off-line signal processing) allows testing different reception algorithms and their influence on the reception quality.
