Performance and stability is more desirable as grid computing technology steps forward, especially with grid service container, which is a hosting environment for grid services. However, issues such as integration of Web Service and inefficient multithread processing prevent our efforts in achieving this goal. In this paper we give thorough performance analysis of grid service container. And most important, we present CROWN Node Server, a container that enables self-adaptive optimization. Based on mechanisms to avoid contentions and dynamically adjust performance related parameters, CROWN Node Server is capable of fully using computing power from hardware resources. We evaluate our container with experiment resembling real world utilization, and significant improvement is reported both in performance and scalability metrics
