Full-wave analysis of dielectric waveguide ferrite phase shifter with longitudinal magnetisation

A full-wave analysis of a waveguide containing a longitudinally magnetised ferrite is presented to describe the behaviour of a millimetre wave phase shifter. A variational form is obtained from the transverse operator formalism which enables the dielectric waveguide ferrite phasers to be rigorously studied. The phase shift is predicted, and agrees well with experimental results.
