THE WET-PAVEMENT ACCIDENT PROBLEM: BREAKING THROUGH
暂无分享,去创建一个
What are the best methods to analyze accidents and what can be subsequently done about them? In an earlier paper, it was suggested that the elements of physical forces and psychic pressures could be subdivided into the component aspects of contributory causes. By modifying the conditions or by interposing new forces that change them, it may be possible to break the chain of causes and reduce the number or rate of accidents at points of hazard. With this in mind, this paper focuses on the wet-pavement accident problem as one case that may yield to just such an approach. This problem, its causes, and some suggestions for reducing its effects are discussed.
