An adaptive state-space model for predicting remaining useful life of planetary gearbox

State-space model is often used to estimate system degradation. However, the state-space model is usually only one observation equation in existing research, and it only applies to one observation indicator. This paper puts forward an adaptive state-space model, which can be applied to multiple observation indicators. The modeling method and parameter estimation approach of adaptive state-space model are studied. In order to show that the proposed model is better than traditional state-space model, planetary gearbox remaining useful life (RUL) estimation based on adaptive state-space model is carried out.
