A neural adaptive controller based on neural network recognition and sliding mode control theory was designed in regard to diesel engine's non-linear model.An S-function was designed to realize online updating of neural network weights,and also simulated in Matlab/Simulink environment,simulation results expatiate that this controller can both ensure accuracy and weaken system chattering,also has a good performance in the speed control of diesel engine.
