A method of reducing random, continuous, non-steady disturbances in audio signals which are present in discrete form, or produced from the sampling of an analog random, continuous, non-stationary disturbed audio signal, the disturbed audio signal is filtered by a filter function, characterized in that the filter function dynamically is determined in consideration of the current properties of the useful and the interference component of the disturbed audio signal, wherein the amount of the filter function is not limited to a constant minimum absolute value, but a dynamically adapted to the current, time-varying characteristics of the interference component contained in the disturbed audio signal minimum having magnitude value.
