Basis Constraint Method for Estimating Conductivity Distribution in Human Thorax

In the basis constraint method a conductivity distribution is approximated as a linear combination of some preselected basis functions. In this paper the linearized version of the method is proposed and its applicability to estimate conductivity changes of the human thorax is established. The results show that the method is capable of estimating conductivity changes in the thorax due to the blood perfusion and ventilation.
