During the design process of hot components in aeronautical gas turbine engine, secondary flow and heat transfer calculations are carried out separately with a manual iterative process. This paper describes the coupling computational approach developed for secondary flow and thermal analysis. For the fluid area-air system calculations, fluid network method was used to get the fluid properties;for the solid area-hot components' thermal analysis,ANSYS secondary development technology was used to get the thermal properties and transfer data. The coupled process was used to analyze a high pressure turbine casing. Results of the coupled and uncoupled investigation, specially the temperature rise of air system and the temperature distribution of hot components, show that the coupling effect, estimated to be strong, should be taken into consideration.
