The study objective is to realize a kinesiological analysis of the reverse punch in Karate. In such case, a bibliographical study was made about t he technique frequency of execution in Shiteigata (mandatory formal exercises) on World Karate Federation’s competitions. The mainly activated muscle groups are depressors, supe rior rotators and scapular belt abductors, flexors and shoulder horizontal flexors, elbow extensors and radioulnar pronators. The most visible benefit of this study i s to allow subsidies to a Power training to muscular groups that actuate directly on the execut ion of the reverse Karate Punch.
