Envelope Solition in a New Nonlinear Transmission Line

A modulable nonlinear L C transmission line is newly introduced . The nonlinear capacitor whose capacitance depends on the square root of the applied voltage is used. The wave equation for this transmission line is a modified Nonlinear Schrodinger equation, i ψ t -βψ x x -α|ψ| 1/2 ψ=0. The observation of the envelope soliton in this transmission line is carried out. Good agreements between experiments and theory are obtained.
