Abstract : This document reports the results of a technology demonstration effort targeted at supporting Air Logistics Center (ALC) Programmed Depot Maintenance (PDM) planning and scheduling needs using advanced technologies from the Armstrong Laboratory Information Integration for Concurrent Engineering (IICE) project. The most visible product developed was a prototype planning system for E-3 PDM called Proplan. ProPlan is an open architecture, client/server system with embedded Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) software that provides a user-friendly, single-point source of data to E-3 planners. Another product, the Stochastic Resource Requirements Projector (SRRP), uses the planning data stored in ProPlan to provide users with a self-maintaining PDM simulation model support multi-aircraft schedule feasibility testing, contingency planning, and finite-capacity schedule generation. A prototype E-3 shop floor data collection database was also developed, together with a set of screens and reports characteristic of the E-3's shop floor information system needs. Testing of the ProPlan prototype was accomplished by Air Force personnel at OC-ALC.
