A novel monopole antenna with parallel structure for DVB‐H/SDMB applications

A novel planar monopole antenna with parallel ground structures for dual and wide band properties are proposed. The proposed antenna has two separate 10 dB return loss bandwidths of 423 MHz (about 63% centered at 670 MHz) and 50 MHz (about 3% centered at 1.465 GHz). It shows good impedance and radiation characteristics over the frequency bands (DVB-H and SDMB) of interest. The simulated and measured return loss results are in good agreement. © 2008 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
