Energy Hub modeling for minimal energy usage cost in residential areas

Recently, the Energy Hub (EH) model which operates and optimizes the energy usage (electricity and heat) is mentioned in many studies. However, the model applied to sub-loading group in residential areas is not addressed in adequate way. Based on the characteristics and needs of energy used in practice, an EH modeling is proposed to solve the problem in residential areas. The optimization problem of energy usage cost is based on the demand of daily additional load and energy tariffs. In which, the objective function aims to minimize the energy usage cost considering power balance, energy tariffs, and capacity limits of the system. The calculation program is performed by General Algebraic Modeling System (GAMS) software. The effectiveness of the proposed model is evaluated through comparison with traditional energy supply model.
