The invention relates to a hydrofracture fracture monitoring device and monitoring method based on electrokinetic coupling. The monitoring device is mainly composed of a front end modulating module, a data collecting module and a master control module. The monitoring method includes: determining radius and number of distributed electrodes, overlaying a round of receiving electrodes in an anticlockwise and equal angle mode through global position system (GPS) positioning with a fractured well as a center, arranging a reference electrode on the mouth of the well, and connecting all the electrodes with the monitoring device through cables; enabling an upper computer to automatically collect and store electrokinetic coupling potential data of each channel through the monitoring device, and transmitting the collected electrokinetic coupling potential data to the upper computer through a universal serial bus (USB) for data interpretation. The hydrofracture fracture monitoring device and monitoring method can monitor the fracture strike of various directions, ensures accurate positioning of each receiving electrode by adopting a GPS, solves the problem that the detection results exceed the actual fracture size, gives out the detection results of the actual fracture, improves accuracy in fracture monitoring and achieves monitoring on the hydrofracture fracture in real time.
