Flexible data rate Matching Method in 3GPP2

PURPOSE: A flexible data rate matching method is provided to support a flexible data rate in the case of using a turbo code on a physical layer. CONSTITUTION: In a process of interleaving a channel-coded encoding sequence to be mapped on a physical layer, the channel-coded encoding sequence is divided into code groups of two types having different bit pattern so that an encoding sequence of a different bit rate channel-coded to the turbo code can have a constant symbol rate, and then each bit in each code group is repetitively interleaved by a different repetitive factor. Thus, the distribution of energy can be made uniform with respect to each of two turbo code constitution encoders, resultantly improving decoding function.
