According to the known study, the offset and azimuth shall better distribute evenly for ideal prestack common depth point (CDP) gather. At the same time, the space samplings of common-source-point (CSP) gather and common-receiverpoint (CRP) gather, which are used to generate CDP, is also better even and meet the requirements of the sampling theorem. To achieve this, the time t, the shot point x axis coordinate Xs, shot point y coordinate Ys, receiver point x axis Xr and receiver point y axis Yr should be continuous with even sampling. This paper presents coil geometry and analyzes it. The analyses show that the presented coil geometry has more advantages than conventional orthogonal geometry, and even better than orthogonal full survey geometry whose line spacing and point interval are same. The conclusion is that, with the development of high density acquisition technology, coil geometry will have a very good application prospect.
