Intelligent Mobile Computing to Assist in the Treatment of Depression

Mental health represents a social and economic problem in all European Union (EU) member nations. Although cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT) have provided an effective approach to the treatment of depression, several issues currently remain unresolved. This paper introduces a novel mobile system that provides several useful functions to improve the delivery of treatments for depressive conditions. Additionally, the system creates an environment in which such treatments can be evaluated.
