Doubly fed induction generator with active filtering function for wind energy conversion system

Today's doubly fed induction generators are more and more used in wind farms. There exist several interactions between the network and these farms, power quality and grid integration are the most problems. In this paper a doubly-fed induction generator with active filtering function for wind energy conversion systems is proposed. A vector control of the machine side converter is realised in order to assure simultaneously decoupled control of the stator active and reactive powers and the compensation of current harmonics due to non-linear load connected on the utility line
