Singlemode photonic crystal fibre with effective area of 600 µm2 and low bending loss

A singlemode all-silica photonic crystal fibre with an effective area of 600 µm2 and low bending loss is reported. The fibre is characterised in terms of attenuation, chromatic dispersion and modal properties.
