The game theory side of signal processing

Game theory has had a revolutionary impact on a large number of disciplines (including economics, politics, social science and biology) and has recently gained much interest for modelling and analyzing different problems in signal processing. The aim of this tutorial is to provide the basics of game theory and an up-to-date overview of the game theory side of signal processing so as to establish the right connections between already existing contributions. Particular attention will be devoted to clarify the connections of strategic- and coalition-form games with distributed optimization, and learning algorithms so as to come to a better global view of standard and advanced game-theoretic tools for signal processing.
