Static Traffic Grooming in WDM Network Using Artificial Immune Algorithm

By applying the idea of artificial immune system, we aims to solve the static traffic grooming problem in WDM mesh network in this paper. The novel immune algorithm we propose is to minimize the number of transceivers while the network is light and to carry more connection requests while the network is heavy. Our algorithm differs from other existing intelligent algorithm in that it uses less transceiver and carries more traffic. Through the simulation results, our novel algorithm achieves better network performance than others.
