Health Economic Evaluation of Management Strategies for MIH

For managing MIH, a large range of treatment options are available. While most of them have not been evaluated from a health economic perspective, there are some data on management strategies for severe MIH. In this chapter, we will describe why health economic evaluations gain increasing relevance in medicine and dentistry and outline the methods used in this specific medical discipline. We will then describe aspects impacting on the cost-effectiveness of management strategies for MIH and compare different strategies for managing severe MIH for their cost-effectiveness.
