DIAGNOSTIC X-RAY EXPOSURES:

with acute hemorrhagic pancreatitis-a picture of severe illness. There may be a history of heart trouble or some other basis for an embolus. The white cell count is immediately high and progresses with the death of tissue. Onset of pain is sudden and steady, and is associated with marked abdominal rigidity and tenderness. When smaller vessels are occluded, the symptoms and signs are less severe, as would be expected, and in such cases the diagnosis is very difficult.
